    Bentley College
    Bentley third dormitory is a six-story 95,000 s.f. 285 bed facility. The facility will have a sixth floor function room with warming kitchen. Laundry and game room facilities will be located on the first floor. The building will feature suites with single and double bedrooms per suite. Occupancy of the suites will vary between 4 to 6 students per suite. Each suite will have a micro/fridge. The chilled water and hot water for the building heating system will be supplied from the central plant located in an adjacent dormitory.

    Brown University, Providence, RI:

    • Dunaevsky Project: Renovations to the existing Medical Research Lab (MRL) building that included Photon Laser Laboratory, Tissue Culture Laboratory, Work Area and Office space.

    • Gerontology Department: Renovation of Gerontology Office to be comprised of open offices, closed offices, conference rooms, toilet rooms and associated support spaces.

    • Animal Care Facility: Modifications to the BioMed Center including expansion of the existing Animal Care Facility and relocation of the Multidisciplinary Teaching Laboratory.

    • Process Steam Modifications: Modifications to the existing high-pressure process steam system serving the BioMed Center, which include the addition of a new 1,000 MBH boiler.

    • Marshall Project: Renovations to the 4th Floor of the Grimshaw Gudewicz building at the BioMed Center that included predominantly Wet Laboratory space and associated support spaces and glass wash areas.

    • Medical Research Lab: Renovations to the existing Medical Research Lab (MRL) building that included Photon Laser Laboratory, Tissue Culture Laboratory, Work Area and Office space.

    Curry College, Milton, MA
    Complete gut and renovation to the existing Kennedy classroom building including incorporation of student services and a child care center.

    MEP/FP design for the Alumni Recreation Center. This new building houses the Student Union, student assembly and café

    Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA

    • XCUP Electrical Room, Central Utilities Plant
      Modification of existing basement electrical room to create a new electrical room that will house new heat producing electrical equipment consisting of two 400 KVA transformers, one 45 KVA and one 30 KVA transformer as well as other minor heat sources.

    Harvard University:

    • New Alumni Athletic and Fitness Center - Provided the mechanical and electrical design for the $10,000,000 new Alumni Athletic and Fitness Center in 1997 occupying the open-end to the Harvard football stadium.

    • John F. Kennedy School of Government - Provided engineering services for a 600,000 s.f. facility for Harvard University.

    • Pennypacker and Hurlbut Hall Dormitories - Under two (2) separate contracts, Provided major renovations and upgrade to base building systems in these dormitories. Provided engineering services for a total renovation of the two dormitories. The project included new plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. Fire protection systems were retained in Pennypecker Hall and added in Hurlbut Hall. (1994)

    • Holworthy Halls Dormitories - Provided engineering services for a total renovation of the historically registered dormitory. The project included new plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and electrical systems. (1994)

    • Prescott Street Transformer Vault - Provided electrical engineering services for creation of a new underground 500 kva transformer vault.

    • New Campus Radio Station - The project included two on air studios with control rooms and technical support rooms. New dedicated mechanical and electrical systems were designed. WHRB is located in the basement level of Pennypacker Hall. (1994)

    • Harvard Racquet Facility - New indoor tennis, racquetball, squash and handball facility. The facility also included Athletic Department Offices.

    • Faculty Club-Substation - New 750 KVA Dry type unit substation to support the Faculty Club and adjoining buildings on Quincy Street. High voltage feeders and duct banks were extended from Harvard Yard to the Faculty Club.

    • Faculty Club Renovation - Complete replacement of the existing electrical and life safety systems. The Faculty Club includes three kitchens, dining facilities, meeting rooms, laundry facilities and quest rooms.

    • Harvard Prescott Street-Substation - New 500 KVA underground oil filled substation to support the dormitories on Prescott and Harvard Streets and administration buildings on Prescott Street. High voltage feeders and duct banks were extended to the substation and terminated at a SF6 gas switch. Secondary distribution for the buildings was located in the basement of Hurlbut Hall.

    • Harvard Museum of Natural History - Assessment of the existing electrical and life safety systems serving the building. Prepared a report outlining existing conditions with recommendations for upgrades of the existing electrical and life safety systems.

    • Harvard Mount Auburn Street Redevelopment - Serving as the sustainable design consultant for the construction management team assisting in the preparation of waste management plan, commissioning strategy, IAQ plan, and site disturbance during construction. The project is to attain a LEED Silver Rating.

    Harvard Medical School:

    • Building C - Provided HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the phased renovation of the 4th Floor that included Wet Laboratory Space, Tissue Culture Rooms, Computer Room, Laser Microscope Labs, Equipment Rooms and Support Office space. Construction completed in 2001.

    • LHRRB - Provided HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the partial renovation of the 5th Floor that included Wet Laboratory Space, Tissue Culture Rooms, Equipment Rooms and Support Office space. Construction completed in 2002.

    • Seeley G. Mudd Building - Provided HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the partial renovation of the 1st Floor that included Wet Laboratory Space, Computer Lab, Equipment Rooms and Support Office space. Project is currently under construction.

    • Harvard School of Public Health 75,000 s.f. of phased renovation of buildings SPH-1 and SPH-2 including live tuberculosis research facility (BSL-3), Animal Resource Center, Department of Cancer Cell Biology and Department of Biostatistics.

    Rhode Island School of Design, 169 Weybosset Street, Providence, RI
    Gut renovation of an existing 60,000 s.f. building for use as classrooms, studios, incubator, gallery and administrative offices.

    Tufts University:

    • Dean Abriola Lab:  HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural engineering services for the renovation to support new laboratory space within Anderson Hall. The renovations include the conversion of an existing engineering wood shop wet lab space, infill of an existing communicating stair, and new computer lab.

    • Elliot Pearson School:  Provided mechanical and electrical engineering services associated with academic support and special needs training spaces.

    • Solar Dormitory:  Design of new LEED Certified (Silver Rating) 250 bed prototype dormitory. Building systems include active and passive ventilation systems utilizing cross ventilation and displacement techniques, active and passive solar systems, and various lighting control concepts.

    • Jamshed Research Lab:  HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the renovation of approximately 4,000 USF to support two new psychology research laboratories, new toilet rooms and common corridor within the existing Psychology Research Building.

    • Ambady Research Lab:  HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the renovation of approximately 4,000 USF to support new psychology research laboratories within the existing Psychology Research Building.

    • Goddard Hall Library:  Fire Protection, Electrical, and Structural engineering services for the renovation of approximately 20,000 SF within the existing Goddard Hall Library. The renovations include the addition of complete sprinkler coverage, new high-density book stacks at the lowest level, updating the Fire Alarm System to meet ADA compliance, and new lighting.

    • Tufts Administration Building:  HVAC, Electrical, and Fire Protection engineering services for the multi-phased renovation of approximately 10,700 s.f. on floors Two and Three of the TAB building.

    • Tufts Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy:  Structural, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the multi-phased renovation of approximately 50,000 s.f. including the Goddard Library, Mugar Hall, and Cabot Hall.

    • Carmichael Hall Renovation:  Structural, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the above referenced addition of approximately 2,700 s.f.

    Design of new Direct Digital Control System for campus-wide control/monitoring of main buildings on the Chestnut Hill campus.

    Major commercial kitchen renovations

    Brandeis University, Waltham, MA
    Study of options for new satellite chilled water plant; resulted in new central chilled water plant, located in the Basement of the Student Union Building and serving six of the University's buildings. The plant consisted of steam absorption chillers, which used steam from the University's central steam boiler plant. A roof-mounted cooling tower was used for heat rejection.

    Duchesne Hall Renovations. Renovations to 66,000 s.f. dormitory on the Boston College Law campus included complete replacement of the HVAC system; steam perimeter heating system was replaced with hot water heating system throughout.

    Moulton Student Union Building, Brunswick, ME. Provided HVAC design for complete interior renovation of multi-purpose building.

    Harvard University Divinity Hall Renovation, Cambridge, MA
    Renovation of 130-year-old historical building used as a dormitory, into office and administrative space. Very careful coordination with interior wall and ceiling finishes was required to maintain the character of the building.

    North Hall HVAC Upgrades. Design included complete replacement of HVAC equipment and systems for converted Dorm building. A four-pipe FCU system was employed, using new modular boilers and a roof-mounted custom chiller; the chiller was split, with the evaporator and compressor located inside a penthouse and the condenser located within a screened enclosure on the roof.     Mellon Hall Dormitory Renovation. Design included complete replacement of the HVAC equipment and systems for Dormitory used for executive MBA program students. A four-pipe FCU system was employed, using campus chilled water and hot water.

    Cabot and Currier Hall Kitchen / Servery Renovations. Fast-track renovations to Kitchen / Servery spaces in the Basements of these two buildings on the old Radcliffe campus included completely new supply and exhaust ductwork systems, new connections to the existing campus steam system, and repairs/upgrades to the existing air handling unit(s) serving the spaces. Space constraints required extensive coordination with the Architect and with subcontractors during construction.

    Mt. Holyoke College, Pratt Music Hall Renovation, South Hadley, MA
    The project involved renovation of ninety-year-old music building. Careful consideration of acoustics was required in practice rooms and the main concert hall.

    Mt. Holyoke College, Blanchard Hall Renovation, South Hadley, MA
    The project renovated a 100-year-old student center. Project was designed to be a LEEDS Certified green building and included use of non-cfc refrigerants and an extensive CO2 demand controlled ventilation and monitoring system. The work included a full commercial kitchen and an atrium smoke exhaust system.

    Regis College Science Building, Weston, MA
    HVAC design for complete renovation / upgrade to main science building for the campus. Scope included all new systems to serve biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics classrooms.

    Simmons College, Boston, MA
    Projects included several fast track dormitory renovations which had to be completed over a summer. This work required significant field coordination with installing contractors. Other work included the development of a chilled water and steam facilities master plan as well as the design of a new student center.
